Welcome Guest
We are talking cropped, skinny, wide, flared, boot cut, boyish, leather, even the cigarette pant is in, and they don’t come with a Government heath warning - hooray. The styles this season come in clean lines and neutral colours, so don’t go just for the obvious black, why not try camel, grey or sandy beige - the world is your oyster!
Trousers are great for work, perfect to team them with a crisp white shirt, a blouse or perhaps a simple roll neck luxurious sweater, worn tucked in. Or how about a slim fitting cashmere jumper, this could work well too? With these work trousers you can add a pair of this seasons must have heels - a pair of low kitten heels, as they’re great for the office as they aren’t too high, however, they do give you enough of a lift for those of us that are vertically challenged and don’t want to wear flats.
Sorry, I’m going off subject… back to trousers!..........We love trousers because they are a great casual weekend staple too, and lets not forget about jeans.
Trousers are also great for wearing on nights out, especially if you want something a bit more comfy and less formal - team them with killer heels and a sexy top. For those that are the more adventures among us, there’s always the city shorts option and these can be worn with black opaque tights and heels, which can make your legs look like they go on forever – love it!
My personal favourite at the moment are the high waist wide leg lengthening trousers. Look out for these in wool, for that perfect tailored swinging look. Try wearing with a neat bow silky blouse with billowing sleeves, a skinny belt and heels, completing the look with a short fitted jacket. We love this no nonsense, easy glamour look with a capital G - I’m a huge fan of 70’s sophistication!
Whatever you decide to team your trousers with keep it simple and minimal. It’s not about how many things you can put on, but how many things you can do without.
This season it’s about grown up cool and whichever styles you decide to wear, do it with confidence and never be afraid to express your individuality!
