Welcome Guest
Have you ever woken up in the morning and wanted to dress totally differently, to "redesign" your image and give yourself a complete style overhaul? Well, who says you can’t?
Backstage at the Haymarket, Theatre Royal, the cast are getting ready for yet another performance of "Sweet Charity". In your mind, picture Tamzin Outhwaite, (who plays the part of Charity), having her make-up done, dressed in jeans and a vest, drinking tea and laughing with her co-stars. Then, the moment her foot steps on that stage and she is dressed in the most beautiful, elegant clothing, she turns in to a charming, vivacious and utterly elusive good-time girl that everyone falls in love with. Although she is an actress, playing a part and performing as Charity Hope Valentine, a woman who always gives her heart and her dreams to the wrong man, her clothes are crucially important to enable her to "get into" the role.
Most actors and singers say that, when they get on the stage, the easiest way to get over their nerves is to become someone else or adopt another persona. So does everyone have an alternative persona or does the clothing you wear determine the way you act? Speaking from a personal opinion, clothing definitely has the power to change my moods. If I’m out on the town in my new 5inch heels I feel confident, if I’m at home chilling out in joggers and a t-shirt I feel lazy, and if I’m in a suit dressed for an interview I feel empowered. In fact, "power dressing" was a term used to describe women who wore suits with padded shoulders during the 1980s. So why can’t I feel empowered in my joggers? I’m still me, I’m still independent, free spirited and confident, so what’s missing?
The reason is that your appearance and your emotions go hand in hand, and the way you dress becomes an integral part of your identity. It is a fact that if you don’t look good you don’t feel good and vice-versa. Many women state that wearing nice lingerie makes them feel sexy, even though the garments can't be seen so, if you do only one thing to please yourself today, wake up happy, dress happy and it will be a happy day.

We all know it’s the first thing you put on in the morning and the last thing you take off at night; so it’s essential that your lingerie is the correct size and fit and is properly cared for!
Shopping is a chore for some, a joy for most but for some it’s an addiction identified by varying labels, and commonly understood as compulsive shopping. This condition mainly afflicts women and a trawl through the net gives myriad reasons for the disorder.
