Let’s start with 2 rather gorgeous styles from French designer Eric Bompard. In fact Mr Bompard is France’s leading cashmere designer and he’s just opened his first UK store on the King’s Road, London. These pieces are both made from the finest cashmere and enjoyed by celebs too including Kelly Osbourne and Jessica Alba.

Now onto Lisbeth Dahl’s new range, this incorporates this nice chunky cream knitted scarf.

Moving onto Crumpet’s new SS09 range (available Dec/Jan), this 100% cashmere look absolutely heavenly and comes at with a price tag of £135.

For those looking for a blod statement this winter we’d recommend Ruby + Ed's Pom pom detail lambs wool, angora and mohair mix scarf in cream.

If you're looking for affordable chic then the this gorgous honeycomb scarf from mamasandpapas combines different fabrics and textures to create a distinctly '70s retro feel that will keep you warm without adding bulk - all for just £18!

Offering stylish comfort we found this gorgeous 100% cashmere scarf which is wonderfully colourful to cheer you out of the credit crunch doom and gloom this winter from TheTravellingSouk.com - £252.

For the more dainty we’ve picked out this gorgeous 100% silk Paisley scarf from Elégance - £49.

Finally, for the bargain hunters amongst us we’ve selected two very well priced (and extremely affordable) scarves from Boohoo.com. First we have the woven check lurex scarf with tassels, and second we have the long length lurex scarf with tassels – both at just £6 a throw!
