iStylista Supports Thyroid Disease Burlesque Night
Leeds (UK) has a rather special treat coming its way this October 5th. A burlesque night and fashion show in support of Thyroid-Disease.org.uk. It will be held at The Victoria Quarter and promises to be a night to remember!

Burlesque Fashion Show
iStylista are an official sponsor of the event which promises to be quite a show! The burlesque fashion show starts from 7pm on 5th October 2008 (slap in the middle of Leeds Shopping Week).
The event aims to use burlesque with its celebration of the female form to help empower and boost the body confidence of those patients whose self-esteem has been knocked by the illness. Thyroid disease affects one in four of the population, mainly women, causing hair loss, both on head, face and body, extreme weight gain or loss, changes in skin texture, depression, infertility, as well as conditions such as thyroid cancer, and can lead to lack of self esteem and sociophobia.
In addition to the fashion show, the event will also feature performances from some of the area’s leading burlesque dancers and alternative entertainers for a fun packed evening. There will be a raffle during the event with some amazing prizes up for grabs including 4 x iStylista Personal Stylist Gift Boxes.
Hosted by Liz Green of BBC Radio Leeds, the event features fabulous raffle prizes to be had as well.
Tickets are £8 for concessions, £10 ordinary and £15 for VIP available from various outlets in Leeds.
