But what if you aren’t feeling great beneath your wonderful wardrobe? The mirror may reflect a person who appears to have her act together: buff and beautiful, sleek and stylish but deep down you feel there is something missing.

If your happiness levels are low and you are running on empty when it comes to energy it may be time to give your psyche a makeover too. In coaching we look at how we are being and who we are being too as a guide to our sense of self and our well being.

Here are five self- coaching tips which can instantly improve your life right now so you not only look good but feel fantastic too.

  1. Check your attitude. What we focus on expands so what negative thought might you be dwelling on which has got out of perspective? What might you be believing about yourself or your current situation which could be limiting your potential?
  2. Stop tolerating. When we put up with all those little annoying things in life it drains our energy. All those shoes jumbled up at the bottom of the wardrobe, magazines piling up or the selfish colleague who dumps work on you ten minutes before home time. Make a list of all you are tolerating and decide to zap them all.
  3. Nourish yourself. Choose to eat healthy, organic food. Take time for lunch away from work and stop relying on high fat and sugar snacks to get you through the day. Always have the ingredients for a fresh and delicious meal in the fridge for when you get home.
  4. Build in pleasure. Make sure you have moment each day which you can look forward to and call your own. A nice bubbly bath, curling up with a good book, a laugh and a joke with a friend or time for some yoga, a run or meditation. Consciously choose to pamper yourself daily.
  5. Turn down the volume. Remove the i-Pod, turn off the TV and radio and listen to the silence, the birds and natural noises. You will find this deeply relaxing and your subconscious may have some answers to give you in that peace and quiet.
  6.
