Summer Blazers

As the summer is upon us we all need something light and fashionable to cover up when the not so predictable British weather decides to get a little chilly. Check out our best picks.

    Summer blazers

Blazers are what we have seen to dominate the ideal cover up no matter what the season, lightweight blazers can be worn in the hotter months along with pale coloured blazers to accommodate the summer heat.

Pastel colours; nudes, white and pastels are ideal, as they give of a more fresh and subtle look unlike the greys, blacks and browns we wear during the winter. See all the item images below.

Prints are a big trend this season, especially florals. Wearing a flower print blazer ideally with a three quarter length sleeve is just a hint of edge when paired with simple vest tops and jeans; we want the jacket to do all the talking. Textures also make a comeback too so lace and silk are great alternatives, yet the waterfall jacket also gives a playful element. Waistcoats are definitely ideal too, as they give you layering without weight. A waistcoat provides a bohemian look; alternatively, a waterfall front waistcoat gives a more tailored feel that will be suitable for the office.

I believe during the summer you need to keep your look clean and fresh, meaning not too many bold colours. Think pastels, whites, creams and light florals! I personally would opt for a mid wash skinny jean with a white vest top, completing your look with a floral print or pastel coloured blazer with gold jewellery. The reason I say gold is that I believe it looks better when worn in summer and this would then be suitable for a less formal occasion. For office wear I would suggest a peg leg trouser, Capri pants or slim fit trouser with a pretty cami and a lightweight blazer or waistcoat.

Till next time!
