Recent data released by The Daily Mail indicates an alarming trend in the reduction of hourglass figures. Gone are the days of Sophia Loren and Marilyn Monroe’s luscious curves, nowadays it’s all down to the calorie and a more relaxed lifestyle!

Boobs, bums and hips are bigger than ever and the average British woman’s waist has expanded from an incredible 6.8 inches to 34.4 inches!

Since 1951 the average bust has grown by 2inches to 42 inches and hips by a further 2 inches to 41 inches. Little Miss Average is now 10lb heavier but don’t fret ladies, the same trend has appeared for men too with the average guy being 7 inches fatter at the waist and 18lb heavier since before WW2.

But us Brits are still a way off the Americans who remain the fattest nation in the World, thanks to Ronald McDonald & Co.!

If you’re lucky enough to be an hourglass then hold on to it honey!
