Welcome Guest
There’s no denying that Cheryl Cole has probably had the year of her life... and is currently at her prime in terms of her career.
From finding out that her husband Ashley was playing the field to winning the X Factor with the gorgeous Alexandra Burke 2008 must have been an emotional ride. The first thing we’d like to say is ‘congrats pet’ as she has done incredibly well this year and won a nations support.
She comes across extremely well in whatever she does (apart from having fights in club toilets – but we’ll move on from that) and is a natural star and this is why it’s so important for her to educate and lead her teen idols. Hence the point of this article.
What is our obsession about weight really all about? Yes, it’s nice to be skinny... or is it? Guys don’t find it attractive but us ladies don’t seem to be bothered about them any more – it seems to be all about making a good impression within our peer groups and out in general public – it’s almost like a competition to some. It’s a huge debate that I don’t really want to get into BUT my point is that when someone as special as Cheryl comes along I think it’s imperative that she makes it OK to be ‘normal’... that doesn’t mean she has to add 4 stone to her petite frame.
Stop waffling Katie... so... why is Cheryl so skinny? Well just share a moment with me and appreciate just how hard she has worked this year. Her life has been dominated by a nail biting premier on X Factor, which demands a hell of a lot of energy and time. What we see on the TV is such a small part of all the hours that go into the show. Secondly, remember she’s part of one of the biggest girl bands around... and just released a new album. If those two things weren’t enough, she has a marriage to work at too. Finally, Cheryl is a very petite girl but TV makes her look (as it does everyone) about 6 feet tall. Not many of us have had the pleasure of meeting her in the flesh but I promise that when you do you will be shocked that she isn’t 10 feet tall like she looks on the TV. Her frame is naturally small is my point BUT the illusion of TV makes her look a lot taller.
I’m certainly not defending the fact that she is too skinny... but I don’t feel it fair that the media are picking at her (as they tend to do) and even worse I don’t understand why we Brits are fascinated by others weaknesses... we’re the ones that keep the media going!
The long and short of it is that if you or I would have had a year like Cheryl’s we’d probably be wafer thin too! Hopefully she can start chilling a bit over Christmas and get stuck into that Christmas turkey and pud... a few pounds wouldn’t hurt.
