Welcome Guest
Too many of us have far less time left in our day to head off to the gym after work. I see this every day with my clients who are finding that career demands often take over from looking after yourself and feeling great.
So, it’s now time to think about adopting a few simple regimes that will have you looking and feeling better in no time, starting with swapping your work shoes for a pair of trainers, put some good uplifting tunes on your iPod and power walk yourself to work. You will feel revved up for the day - a 20 minute power walk can burn up to 150 calories so walking to and from work can burn off approx 2100 calories a week!!!
So this is a way of fitting fitness realistically all you need is a pair of trainers a good rucksack and your iPod. Or just squeeze in 15 minutes at lunch time this will get you in shape and buzzing for the afternoon.
In addition to more exercise I’ve listed out some very simple to follow exercises you can do at your desk which I have entitled...
Sit on your chair with your feet placed flat on the floor in front of you.
On an exhale, twist to the right, placing your right hand on the back of the chair and your left hand on the side of the chair. Hold for a few seconds.
Return to the middle. Repeat on the left side
Simply sit with good posture and place a towel or a jumper between your knees and simply squeeze as tight as you can trying to press your knees together hold for several seconds. Repeat 10 times
Simply squeeze and release your buttocks muscles several times. This is the number one exercise that will help prevent "office chair spread" and can be done throughout the day.
