For those of you who weren’t lucky enough to get to the Paris Fashion week it was dominated by gorgeous traditional African prints. The brighter the better!

The employed fabrics are the same used traditionally for head wraps and draped tunics on the streets of West Africa, and that’s exactly what Atelier Annick has used for SS09 handbag her collection.

There are three different shapesThe Shana bag; the Bebe bag and the Christelle
Bag, all adopting colourful patterns and finished with hard wearing saddle leather which helps to maintain their shape. Inside each bag you’ll find soft luxurious suede.

They tick the Fair Trade box too as the fabrics are mainly sourced from a small village from the Ivory Cost in West Africa.
